1. Secondary- A representative from Tyndale University will be visiting room 258 today at lunch. Pizza will be served after a brief presentation and Q&A.

2. Secondary – Rugby players are to be dismissed from class at 12:45 today for their game at TISS.

3. Secondary – Prom tickets are now $60 for a graduate and $50 for their date and need to be purchased by June 1 from Mr. D. Hunter. Tickets will NOT be sold after June 1.

4. Secondary – The MS Walk takes place this Sunday and they are looking for volunteers. They will need volunteers to help set-up on Saturday and volunteers for various jobs on Sunday. If you are interested, please leave your name and a contact phone number with Mrs. Lukassen in the main office.

5. Secondary – Hey BCI! This is your chance to pie SAM, MAX, JOEY, OR TRISTAN…See Sammy at lunch this week in the front hall to buy a ticket to win your chance to serve up some tasty pie. 6. All Red Rams – Hey BCI! It’s BBQ Friday this week! We are holding our annual Champion for Kids fundraising BBQ for all grades, 7 through to 12. It will be outside by the gym doors and there will be hotdogs, sausages, freezies, chips and more. Enjoy music by Nathan and magic by Christian as well as contests to keep you entertained. A hungry RAM meal deal with two dogs, drink and chips is only $5. Leave the lunch at home and let us cook for you this Friday!

7. All Red Rams – Attention Red Rams in grades 8 through 11: The BCI Cheer team will be holding tryouts on June 5th and 8th after school. If you enjoy dancing, tumbling or are willing to try stunting, we would love to see you there. Our new coach, Kira Merrit, is a former BCI Cheer Captain who is full of spirit and mad skills! We hope to see you on Monday, June 5th, at 2:30 in the gym and again on Wednesday! Just DO IT!!!

9. All Red Rams – This coming Saturday, May 27, is the Interval House Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. Here are some disturbing statistics: A woman is assaulted an average of 35 times before she calls the police the first time. It takes seven attempts before a woman leaves for good. Her chances of being murdered increase nine fold once she leaves. Every six days, a Canadian woman is murdered by her current or former partner.

Here are some disturbing statistics: In 2013, the rate of intimate partner homicide was 4.5 times higher for female victims. According to Statistics Canada, 70% of spousal violence is not reported to the police.

Donations to Crohn’s Colitis Canada would be appreciated. Performers include Anna-Lena and the BCI sax quartet composed of Christian, Reagan, Dan and Kyle. 8. All Red Rams – Over the weekend, eight members of the BCI Rowing Team participated in the South Niagara Rowing Club Invitational in Welland. We had two first place finishes, Nick and Joey in the senior men’s double and Natalie and Leigha in the senior women’s double. Josh and Adam placed second in the junior men’s double and Nick, Joey, Max and Thomas placed second in the senior men’s quad. Congratulations to all rowers, you’re season is starting out great! Also, all rowers who attended the regatta on the weekend are asked to see Mrs. Henry in Student Services today.

8. All Red Rams – The BCI Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer teams finished off the season losing in close games in the semi-finals to Rideau District High School. Sammy and Jacob were stellar in net for both teams. Coach Sevy, Coach Shep, Coach George and Coach Wright would like to congratulate all players on a great season.

6. All Red Rams – BCI’s Track and Field team certainly showed we were a force to be reckoned with at the LGSSAA Championships last Thursday at TISS. Every member of the team qualified for EOSSAA this coming Thurs and Friday. Swing by the TISS track and cheer them on. Grace, Corinne, Dallas and Christina all brought home gold in their respective events while Grace also brought home a silver in another event as did Dana and Evan. Special mention to Corinne for CRUSHING her 800 m PB. The team would like to thank Ms Dixie, Mrs. Henry, Maggie and Jack for helping make the day a huge success!!!

7. All Red Rams – The Intermediate Track & Field team participated in the relay meet last Friday at TISS. All participants did very well. Practice for tonight has been cancelled. See you all tomorrow for the next practice.

8. All Red Rams – The Girls’ Rugby team played tough against St. Mike and Smiths Falls but were unable to come away with a win. Highlights were Rebecca scoring her first try and the outstanding tackling by the day’s “Hardest Hitter” Caleigh. Our “Ram of the Match” was Megan who played very well at the scrum half position. The Rams return to action on Friday at St. Mike in Kemptville.

8. All Red Rams – Yesterday at Commonwealth Field the Girls’ Rugby team defeated St. Mary by a score of 32-0. Emma was our “Ram of the Match” scoring 3 trys. Keanna and Elisabeth each added a try. Special congratulations to Kaja who, after many close calls, scored her first career try. Keanna not only put points on the board she comes away with our “Hardest Hitter” award for best tackler. In the second match of the day the team did not fare so well falling 27-0 to mighty Smiths Falls. The team returns to action tomorrow; so rest up girls.

9. All Red Rams – Yesterday, the BCI Tennis team was in Gananoque competing at LGSSA. BCI took the award for highest points. Maggie and Laura took gold in Senior Women’s Doubles, Mackenzie and Grace received silver in Senior Women’s Doubles, Coulton and Wasay took silver in Men’s Doubles, Sammy and Emma took gold in Junior Women’s Doubles, Claire and Caleigh took silver in Junior Women’s Doubles and Robbie and Joseph took gold Junior Men’s Doubles. Congratulations to all who competed! All gold and silver medallists compete in EOSSA next Tuesday. There will be a brief EOSSA tennis meeting in room 351 at lunch today.
